Job description

Our Client

We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team at a busy concrete plant. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience operating ready-mix lorries (Training can be provided for the right candidate), with a minimum of 2 years' experience driving on Irish roads. The role involves the transportation of concrete to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate ready-mix lorries to transport concrete.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient loading and pouring of concrete.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, particularly those specific to Irish roads.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations.
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good condition.
  • Work closely with the dispatch team to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience driving on Irish roads.
  • Full Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent driving skills with a proven safety record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a concrete plant or related industry.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the area.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.

Package

Pay rate of €17.50 per hour plus €20 tax free meal allowance per day.
