Our Client

A leading manufacturing company based in County Monaghan is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join its dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background and a passion for customer engagement, problem-solving, and technical support. The successful candidate will manage high-value customer accounts and play a key role in driving customer satisfaction and business growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Handle sales orders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide technical product support, troubleshooting, and aftersales service.
  • Coordinate investigations with production to resolve customer issues.
  • Offer warranty support and manage customer queries effectively.
  • Attend trade shows and represent the company professionally.
  • Conduct distributor/customer site visits (frequency to be agreed with management).
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Engineering qualification (mechanical, manufacturing, or related discipline preferred).
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and trade events.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment is an advantage.

This is a senior, standalone role offering a genuine hybrid working arrangement, combining home-based administration with regular site visits. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance with Irish health and safety legislation.

Health & Safety Management

  • Lead, manage, and continuously improve Health & Safety performance across all company sites
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Health & Safety matters within the business
  • Drive a proactive, safety-first culture across site teams, supervisors, and management

Compliance & Legislation

  • Ensure full compliance with Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations
  • Develop, review, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and systems
  • Prepare, review, and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
