Empire Recruitment is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Store Assistant on behalf of our client in the animal health and agriculture sector. This is a varied position combining administrative tasks with hands-on work in a busy, fast-paced environment. Full on-the-job training, including RP training, will be provided to the successful candidate.
Roles & Responsibilities
Accurately and efficiently pack and dispense orders.
Ensure all deliveries are clearly labelled with the correct address.
Prepare orders in a timely manner for the relevant delivery methods.
Monitor and record packed orders to support prompt resolution of customer queries.
Manage logistical administration, including printing dockets and other order paperwork.
Answer incoming calls, take orders accurately, and forward them to the appropriate team member.
Carry out stock control and stock-taking, recording data in the accounts system.
Notify relevant staff when stock levels are low.
Process orders and assist with prescriptions.
Requirements
Strong teamwork skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
An interest in animal health or agriculture would be an advantage.
Proficiency in IT and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
Additional Information
Full driving licence is advantageous to cover occasional van deliveries for urgent orders.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (35-hour week).
Salary: €30,000 - € 33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
