Our Client

An Irish Construction Company based in Co. Monaghan with over 65 years of experience is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, full-time to join their team.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance and repairs of all HGV fleet and trailers

• Carry out repairs on engines, gear box’s, hydraulics and braking systems

• To attend breakdowns as required

• Complete weekly and monthly check sheets

• To carry out regular preventative maintenance

• To carry out and maintain servicing schedule

• To undertake all work in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Statement, Policies and Procedures.

• To report any non-conformances, machine/equipment breakages and health and safety issues to your supervisor.

• To report any accidents/incidents immediately to your supervisor.

• To report any machine or equipment issues to your supervisor immediately.

• To carry out all work to the required level of quality

Requirements

• Heavy Vehicle Mechanics qualification

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role

• Ability to follow instructions and schedules

• Ability to manage efficiently and work under own supervision.

• Enthusiastic and responsive approach.

• Full, clean driver’s licence.

• Manual Handling Certificate / Safe Pass.
