Our Client

Are you a skilled AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor user with a passion for technical design? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Technician to join our Clients Technical Design Office.

In this role, you'll support the design and development of insulation products and systems used in the construction industry. Working closely with engineers, designers, and internal teams, you’ll help produce high-quality technical drawings that meet both production and installation needs. It's a busy, fast-paced environment — ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys solving technical challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

Creating and updating detailed production and installation drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor
Working from engineering and architectural designs to produce clear, accurate plans
Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
Managing drawing revisions in line with frequent design updates
Supporting the development of standard details, templates, and CAD protocols
Collaborating with other departments (production, sales, technical) to resolve queries and communicate design intent
Helping prepare technical documents and keeping design records organised and up to date

Requirements

Essential Skills:

Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Inventor (both preferred)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
A team player who can also work independently when needed

Desirable:

Some understanding of building construction, particularly in relation to thermal insulation and UK building regulations
Experience with 3D modelling and construction detailing is a bonus
