Our Client

Empire Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a well-established company based based in Cavan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to join a busy and supportive team within a growing organisation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Match purchase orders, delivery dockets, and invoices where required.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs.
  • Monitor accounts payable inboxes and respond to supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile creditor accounts and investigate outstanding balances or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and ensure all documentation is correctly filed.
  • Work closely with the finance team and site personnel to ensure smooth invoice approval processes.
  • Assist with month-end reporting and other ad hoc finance duties as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the efficient running of the accounts function.

Requirements


    • 2–5 years’ experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
    • Previous experience within construction, manufacturing, or a fast-paced commercial environment is advantageous.
    • Strong knowledge of finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Maintain accurate site records including RAMS, permits, incident reports, and daily diaries.
    • Drive a proactive safety culture across all projects.

    Quality Control

    • Maintain high workmanship standards throughout all phases of construction.

    • Liaise with design teams and consultants to ensure technical compliance and project accuracy.

    Commercial & Operational Oversight

    • Assist with resource planning and cost control on projects.
