Production Planner


Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Production Planner for our client in the Meath area.

Works Closely With: Purchasing Commercial Systems / I.T.

Technical Quality

Primary Objectives:

  • To manage the weekly plans for the Packing Rooms
  • To adjust the weekly plans based on Business Requirements.
  • To drive improvements into the Planning Process


1- Strong Communication skills

2- Ability to deal with tight deadline and to perform under pressure.

3- Strong working knowledge of QAD

4- Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office)

5- Ability to drive changes and improvements, including costs savings.

Organisational skills and ability to prioritise

Day to Day Duties:-

Key Activities

1- Work with Production and Packing Teams and Planning Manager, in order to deliver a strong customer service level.

2- Own and execute the Short term (weekly / monthly) production plan.

3- Manage the weekly planning process, including changes when required. The weekly process includes the information flow that must be managed in order to plan with optimal accuracy. This includes Daily reporting and Analysis on Planning and Delivery of Plan.

4- Manage operational daily planning challenges.

5- Prepare Back-up plans where necessary.

Develop and implement action plan for improvement, along with the Planning Manager.

Working Hours

Working hours are 6.30 am – 2.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Skills Required

Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
